President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, and member of the political committee, Badr Jamous, visited al-Karaji clan in the town of Qabbasin in rural Aleppo and met with the clan’s notables, members of the local council and civil activists.
Al-Meslet offered his condolences for the death of the Karaji clan’s sheikh, Engineer Hassan Qaddour Kamo, wishing his family patience and solace.
Al-Meslet spoke about the reform process which was approved by the General Assembly, stressing its importance in revitalizing the SOC and strengthening partnership with revolutionary actors and active forces on the ground.
He stressed the need for the SOC to be representative of all components, institutions, civil and revolutionary entities, unions, youth groups and Syrian communities in host countries.
For their part, the locals welcomed the reform process as they stressed the importance of the SOC and its members to be present in the liberated areas in order to better ascertain the situation and address the problems facing the population.
They also stressed the need to pay attention to the educational process and provide support to the agricultural sector, especially the irrigation project in the region.
