The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Committee of Civil Society Organizations held a meeting with Side by Side Special Needs Organization (SSNO) to discuss ways and mechanisms for coordination, cooperation and partnership.
The meeting brought together SOC’s Coordinator of the Office of Civil Society Organizations, Zuhair Muhammad, SOC’s member Kifah Murad, and SSNO’s Head Firas Fawal.
The two sides discussed ways to register organizations in the liberated areas and coordinate with the Syrian Interim Government as they stressed the importance of these meetings, which seek to serve Syrians in Turkey and in the liberated areas.
Murad also held a series of meetings with the Associations Forum, the Nour Organization, and the “Russol” organization for people with disabilities. Participants discussed ways of cooperation, partnership and coordination with the Syrian Interim Government and ways to register organizations in the liberated areas.
The Committee is seeking to consolidate relationships with other Syrian civil society institutions, reach out to associations, and discuss the establishment of a mechanism for communication between the SOC and these organizations. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
