The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Committee of Political Parties and Blocs conducted a virtual meeting with the Democratic Youth Organization to discuss the latest developments in Syria and ways to strengthen cooperation in the face of the upcoming challenges.
The meeting brought together Coordinator of the SOC’s Committee of Political Parties and Blocs, Abdullah Kaddo, members of the political committee Ahmed Ramadan and Abdel Majeed Barakat, Director of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Youth Organization Adam Al-Sayed, General Coordinator Reem Abboud, and Secretary of the Organization Ghazwan Al-Balah.
Participants discussed the SOC’s latest activities and its recent initiatives, as well as its ambitious plan to improve the Syrian people’s reality, reach out to the various components of Syrian society, and promote dialogue and partnership with Syrian political parties and currents in order to reach a common political vision for a solution in Syria.
They also discussed political issues related to the Syrian national issue, especially the US sanctions against the regime and its extensions under the Caesar Act and how to activate them.
Moreover, they discussed the latest developments in the political process, the Assad regime’s refusal to seriously engage in the process, the results of the work of the Constitutional Committee, and ways to overcome the regime’s procrastination and disruption of the process.
They stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and partnership between the SOC and the Democratic Youth Organization. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
