Coordinator of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Communities Office Muhammad Yahya Maktabi presented his work report to the General Assembly at its 58th regular session, in which he spoke about the Office’s activities during the past two months.
Maktabi stressed the importance of continuing to coordinate positions between the Syrian communities around the world and the SOC and to benefit from the capabilities available to the communities, especially in communicating with civil society organizations and official bodies in the host countries, influencing public opinion and mobilizing advocacy for the benefit of the Syrian people and their rights.
Maktabi spoke about the importance of the meetings that the Office held with a number of Syrian communities around the world during the recent period, including virtual periodic meetings with heads of Syrian-American organizations.
He pointed out that the SOC seeks to strengthen work with the Syrian communities in the countries of the world, considering that the Syrian communities are have big potential and capable of influencing the decisions of the host governments.
