A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) recently visited the branch of the Free Lawyers Association in Aleppo province to extend congratulations on their successful elections, which took place on July 15. The delegation emphasized that these elections reflect the Syrian people’s aspirations for fair and democratic elections in the future.
Comprised of members from the SOC’s political committee, including Bahjat al-Atassi, Muhammad Qaddah, and Abdelbaset Abdullatif, along with General Assembly member Muhammad Asaad Allito, the delegation engaged in discussions with the Association’s members about the challenges facing lawyers and their work in the liberated areas. The Association also presented its action plan for the upcoming months.
The SOC’s delegation acknowledged the vital role of the Association, as well as other unions and syndicates in the liberated areas, in organizing the affairs of Syrian professionals and craftsmen and addressing their issues.
The Free Lawyers Association in Aleppo conducted its elections, with the participation of approximately 500 lawyers from the liberated areas and Türkiye.
