A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) headed by Nasr al-Hariri visited the headquarters of the Syrian National Army (SNA) and leadership of the National Liberation Front (NLF) in rural Aleppo and met with military commanders and discussed with them the latest developments and compact readiness.
Participants in the meeting discussed the military situation and the Assad regime and its backers’ escalation in the liberated areas as well as their attempts to sabotage the ceasefire agreement signed last March.
Al-Hariri gave an overview on the latest developments in the political process, pointing out that there is no progress in negotiations based on UN Resolution 2254 in general, nor at the level of the work of the Constitutional Committee. He stressed that the Assad regime continues to obstruct the process and procrastinate in order to make the political process meaningless.
The two sides also discussed the efforts being made in training and development in the military sector as they discussed establishing a military academy, mechanisms for volunteering in the SNA, and a mechanism for promoting officers. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
