President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Nasr Al-Hariri, and a large delegation on Tuesday toured service institutions in rural Aleppo, including the Bab Al-Salama border crossing to ascertain the progress of work.
The delegation comprised SOC Secretary-General Abdul Basit Abdul Latif, members of the political committee Muhammad Yahya Maktabi, Bahjat Al-Atassi, Yasser Al-Farhan, coordinator of the SOC’s Office in rural Aleppo Ahmed Al-Shahadi, and members of the General Assembly Najib Rahmoun, Jawad Abu Hatab, and Muhammad Al-Saleh.
Al-Hariri stressed the need to spare no effort to improve the situation in the liberated areas, improve essential services, and launch new projects that meet the needs of citizens and alleviate their suffering.
He said that the Assad regime intentionally destroyed institutions and public facilities in the liberated areas with the aim of thwarting its administrative project, adding that “we need to cooperate in order to rebuild and develop these institutions so as to present a successful model unlike the corrupt Assad regime’s decades-long corrupt administration.
He meet with officials and workers in service institutions as he said: “We need to overcome all the difficulties and obstacles that hinder the development of our administrative work and utilize resources in order to service our people in the liberated areas.”
Al-Hariri pointed to the importance of paying attention to the affairs of the internally displaced people and working hard to provide them with assistance and alleviate their suffering so that they can return to their homes voluntarily with dignity. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
