Abdulahad Astepho, the Coordinator of the Foreign Relations Department of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, submitted the department’s work report to the General Assembly during its 69th regular meeting. The session took place at the office of the Syrian Interim Government in Aleppo province on Thursday.
Astepho detailed the activities and tasks undertaken by the Department over the past two months. This included the submission of reports and recommendations to the political committee and the presidential body. A representative was assigned to draft the foreign relations protocol.
In his presentation, Astepho elaborated on the department’s efforts in monitoring the work of SOC’s offices and foreign missions in friendly and sister countries. Additionally, he discussed the latest developments at both local and international levels.
Providing an overview of recent meetings with foreign envoys to Syria, Astepho emphasized the focus on the challenging conditions in the Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ayn regions east of the Euphrates. He stressed the imperative to support international organizations, civil society institutions, and organizations in these two regions.
