The 55th session of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) General Assembly will kick off in rural Aleppo on Sunday to discuss the latest developments on the ground as well as pollical developments on the local and international levels. It will also discuss the work of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) and local councils, as well as the situation of displaced people and refugees.
Tabled for discussion will also be the issue of accountability for war criminals in the Assad regime and the recent international calls in this regard. The Assembly will also discuss preparations for commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Syrian revolution in the town of Azaz in the liberated areas.
SIG’s ministers will submit reports on their work and activities as well as the work of the SOC’s executive institutions.
Moreover, the Assembly will discuss the conditions in the IDPs camps, ways to meet the needs of the IDPs, and ways to improve basic services provided to the population. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
