President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, received Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, Recep Batu, and discussed with him the conditions of Syrian refugees in the province and the most pressing issues that need to be resolved.
The meeting, which took place at the SOC’s headquarters in Istanbul, brought together member of the political committee and SOC’s representative in Turkey, Nazir al-Hakim and member of the General Assembly and Coordinator of the Syrian-Turkish Joint Committee, Ahmed Bakkoura.
The two sides stressed the importance of the work of the Syrian-Turkish Joint Committee in strengthening cooperation and coordination between the SOC and the Turkish government, stressing the need to continue with this cooperation and deepen the relationship in a way that serves Syrian refugees in Turkey.
Al-Hariri gave a detailed explanation about the SOC and its components comprising political blocs and executive institutions operating in the liberated areas.
He stressed the need to work to resolve the issues facing Syrian refugees in Turkey and regulate their residence legally.
Al-Hariri also thanked the Turkish government and people for hosting four million Syrian refugees on Turkish territory, stressing the depth of the relationship between the two brotherly peoples. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
