The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) National Dialogue Committee on Saturday convened to discuss the latest preparations for a consultative meeting with Syrian personalities and political actors.
The move comes as part of the SOC’s plan to reach out to the various spectra of the Syrian people and their components inside Syria and abroad.
The Committee discussed the lists of people who will be invited to participate in the meeting. SOC’s Vice-president Oqab Yahya said that the invitees will include a wide spectrum of the Syrian people’s components with the aim of promoting national dialogue and developing the SOC’s political vision accordingly.
Yahya pointed out that the Committee was tasked with communicating with various national personalities and actors, including Christians, Alawites, Kurds, and Druze.
Yahya said that the SOC is seeking to listen to proposals from the invitees and explain to them the SOC’s action both on the ground and at the political level out of it belief in partnership and cooperation. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
