The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) political committee held a periodic meeting to discuss the latest on the ground and political developments in Syria.
Secretary of the political committee, Abdul Majeed Barakat, gave an overview on the weekly political developments at the international and regional levels affecting Syria.
Participants discussed the results of the SOC’s latest meeting with envoys of friendly states, especially those related to revitalizing the political process and the humanitarian aid.
Vice-presidents Abdel Hakim Bashar and Abdel Ahad Astepho talked about the measures that the SOC is taking to solve the problem of education for Syrian refugees in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
SOC’s Secretary-General, Haitham Rahma, gave an overview on the work of the General Secretariat during the past week.
The Office of Studies and Documents presented a political paper on the latest developments in the political process and prospects for the work of the Constitutional Committee.
Participants reviewed a report on the developments in the situation in northwestern, northeastern and southern Syria.
