The political committee of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) convened its regular meeting on Thursday to address current ground and political developments in Syria and to prepare for the upcoming 70th session of the General Assembly.
President Hadi Al-Bahra, along with Vice Presidents and the Secretary-General, provided updates on their activities over the past week.
The committee received briefings and reports from SOC representatives in Germany, France, Egypt, and Qatar. Additionally, they received a political analysis from the SOC’s Studies Working Group regarding recent military and political developments in the region and their implications for Syria.
The SOC’s military bloc assessed the field situation, including the Assad regime’s recent military escalation in the region and the Syrian National Army’s efforts to counter infiltration attempts by the PYD terrorist militia into liberated areas.
Furthermore, the committee discussed reports from the Legal and Human Rights Working Group and the Al-Jazira and Al-Furat Working Group.
