The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Political Parties Committee presented its work report to the political committee on Wednesday. The report highlighted the meetings and communications that the Committee held with the Syrian political parties and movements with the aim of laying out a unified vision for Syria and addressing the latest political developments.
The Committee’s coordinator, Abdullah Kaddo, spoke about the importance of focusing on holding an inclusive meeting with the Syrian political parties and movements and preparing to hold inclusive conferences and workshops under the auspices of the SOC.
Kaddo pointed out that the Committee is seeking to inform the Syrian parties and movements of the latest developments in the political situation and the results of the work of the Constitutional Committee in Geneva. It is also seeking to agree on joint steps in order to provide support for negotiations and reach a political solution in accordance with international resolutions, most importantly the Geneva Communique of 2022 and UN Resolutions 2118 and 2254.
Kaddo put forth a set of proposals and recommendations, most notably the importance of continuing to pay attention to the role of Syrian political parties and movements, as well as supporting and coordinating with them.
