President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) Nasr al-Hariri, sent a letter to President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, regarding the deadly attack that the PYD terrorist militia carried out against Al-Shifaa Hospital in Afrin earlier this week, and the brutal crackdown on peaceful demonstrators in Manbij.
Al-Hariri stressed that “ample evidence confirms the involvement of PKK/PYD-YPG terrorist militias in hostile terrorist operations, in which explosives are used professionally, continuously and systematically, targeting civilians in opposition areas to disrupt efforts to build security, peace and stability in the region, and to divert attention from joint efforts in implementing the standards of the rule of law, and strengthening human rights.”
He pointed to the existence of widespread popular frustration among the Syrians in the Self-Administration areas imposed on them by force of arms. He also said there is rampant corruption among the leaders and arms of the PYD, in addition to its illegal enrichment and looting of the country’s wealth and resources in favor of the terrorist PKK. He stressed the PYD’s hidden and continuing strategic alliance with Iran and the Assad regime.
Al-Hariri underscored that the fight against terrorism is an international responsibility. In view of the proven involvement of the PYD militia in war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity, he called for military intervention on the side of the Syrian people and the Syrian National Army in order to force the PYD militia from the towns of Tal Rifaat and Manbij in rural Aleppo and all Syrian regions.
