President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, talked over the telephone to a number of Syrian refugees who have recently arrived in Somalia to check up on their wellbeing and ascertain their living conditions.
Al-Hariri said that the SOC is working with the Somali authorities and international organizations to secure the needs of the newly arrived Syrians in Somalia.
Al-Hariri listened to stories of the suffering they endured on their way to Somalia and the circumstances surrounding their journey. He also listened to their needs and promised them to work with the Somali government and international organizations to meet them.
Syrian refugees in Somalia demanded that the SOC help them reach the Somali capital, Mogadishu, as well as secure their humanitarian and medical needs. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
