President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, met with the Commander of the Liberation and Construction Movement, Colonel Hussein Hammadi, and a number of notables of the eastern region at the SOC’s office in the town of Azaz in rural Aleppo. The meeting came with the aim of completing the representation of unions, federations, youth and women groupings in the SOC’s General Assembly.
Al-Meslet gave on overview on the stages of the reform process that the SOC has recently begun with the aim of strengthening legitimacy and participation in the political action and decision-making.
For his part, Hammadi stressed the importance of the SOC’s move in increasing the representation of the revolutionary forces on the ground, pointing to the need for an adequate representation of the eastern region.
