President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Nasr al-Hariri, received officials from Fajr Radio and Syrian media workers and discussed with them the general situation in Syria and the reality of the work of revolutionary media institutions.
Participants in the meeting, which was held at the SOC headquarters in Istanbul, included Director of Radio Fajr Aladdin Hassou and Syrian media workers.
Hassou stressed the need for coordination with the SOC and the launch of joint media programs between the SOC and radio Fajr which broadcasts in northern and southern Syria.
For his part, Al-Hariri praised the role of the Syrian revolution’s media outlets in clarifying the revolution’s rightful demands, exposing the crimes of the Assad regime and its backers, and highlighting the suffering of Syrian civilians.
Al-Hariri stressed that the revolution’s media outlets have been in the frontline in the battle against the Assad regime. Despite the limited resources, these outlets confronted the Assad regime’s media machine which has been seeking to distort facts and spread misinformation.
Al-Hariri gave on overview on the SOC’s activities and its role in supporting the political process and mobilizing international support for the Syrian Interim Government’s programs in the liberated areas. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
