President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi Al-Bahra, and his accompanying delegation conducted an inspection of newly constructed factories and industrial facilities in the town of Azaz in the Aleppo countryside. The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of work and the suitability of conditions for investment, with a focus on expanding industrial areas in northern Syria.
The SOC’s delegation, comprising Bahjat al-Atassi, Muhammad Qaddah, Najib Rahmoun, Atef Zureiq, and Basil Ghuneim, included Abdul Hakim al-Masri, the Minister of Finance and Economy in the Syrian Interim Government.
During the tour of the factories, the delegation engaged in discussions with owners regarding the significance of having these establishments in liberated areas. The emphasis was on driving economic growth in the region and creating job opportunities.
Al-Bahra expressed appreciation for the efforts of the factory owners, recognizing the importance of this initiative for the present and future of northern Syria. He stressed that constructing industrial zones and establishing factories contributes significantly to boosting the economy in the liberated areas.
In conversations with factory owners, Al-Bahra underscored the importance of supporting traders and investors in this crucial step. He emphasized the need to work collaboratively to overcome obstacles and difficulties, aiming to enhance the investment sector and overall economy in northern Syria.
