President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, Secretary-General Abdel-Basit Abdel-Latif, and an accompanying delegation visited the Syrian Tribal Council in the town of Azaz in rural Aleppo and discussed with them the latest on the ground and political developments in Syria.
The visit came as part of the SOC’s plan to reach out to components, bodies and national figures comprising the SOC’s General Assembly.
Participants talked about the situation in the liberated areas and the need to improve basic services and living conditions. They also discussed the results of the third round of talks of the Constitutional Committee.
Al-Hariri emphasized the important role of the Council as part of the Syrian social fabric and in the history of Syria, especially in the Syrian revolution and in resisting the Assad regime, its allied militias, and ISIS.
He also stressed the need for continued communication and cooperation to beat off the challenges laying ahead and to overcome the obstacles and challenges facing the Syrian revolution. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
