Palestinian-Syrians from the camps of Yarmouk, Dara’a, Handarat and Khan al-Sheeh were at the forefront of the Syrian revolution against the Assad regime. At least 4,000 Palestinian-Syrians have been killed at the hands of the Assad regime forces and Iranian militias since the start of the revolution, while more than 1,800 are still detained by the regime.
Palestinian-Syrians have also been subjected to mass forced displacement due to brutal sieges and attacks by Assad regime forces and Iranian militias. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
