Secretary-General of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC), Haitham Rahma, condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia on King Abdullah Airport in the city of Jizan, Saudi Arabiab on Monday, describing it as a heinous, cowardly act. He wished those injured in the attack a speedy recovery.
Rahma made it clear that the continued attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia targeting vital facilities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Arab Gulf states are not different from the attacks being carried out by the rest of the Iranian militias in Syria. He stressed that the Houthi militia is one of the hundreds of the vicious Iranian arms that systematically and intentionally target the security and stability of the countries of the region.
Rahma reaffirmed the solidarity of the SOC and the Syrian people with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf states and the measures they are taking to protect their security and stability and to protect the region from Iranian attacks that target the social fabric, infrastructure and vital areas.
Rahma underscored the need for a unified Arab position in order to deter Iran, confront its aggression against regional countries, and besiege all its militias in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq. He also stressed the need for cooperation to eliminate the threats these militias pose to Arab countries, especially the terrorist militias of Hezbollah and the Houthi.
