The Strategic Studies, Consulting, and Documentation Working Group within the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) recently conducted a workshop examining the ramifications of the Gaza War on the Syrian revolution. The event witnessed active participation from numerous research and study centers with a keen interest in Syria. These centers contributed valuable insights, offering numerous useful suggestions and recommendations.
Key figures present at the workshop included the coordinator, Abdullah Kaddo, group member Ahmed Tomeh, and Abdulahad Astepho, coordinator of the Foreign Relations Department. Delving into various topics, the workshop notably focused on the immediate impacts of the Gaza War on the Syrian revolutionary and opposition forces, the Syrian populace, the Assad regime, and its allies. Additionally, discussions extended to the imminent repercussions on the international community and strategies for the Syrian revolution to navigate and mitigate adverse effects.
Participants also explored the long-term implications the Syrian revolution might encounter and speculated on the international community’s stance toward a political solution in Syria, emphasizing the potential positive or negative outcomes. The moral repercussions of the Gaza War on the Syrian revolution were also on the agenda.
