Vice President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdul Hakim Bashar, met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Kurdish Civil Society Organizations in Syria, Hassan Qassem and his accompanying delegation at the Office of the Kurdish National Council in the city of Erbil in the Iraq Kurdistan Region.
The meeting brought together Imad Barhou, member of the SOC’s General Assembly, vice-chairmen of the Board of Directors of the Union of Kurdish Civil Society Organizations in Syria, and a number of members and heads of offices.
The two sides discussed the major issues that affect the work of civil society organizations concerned with refugees, in addition to the process of connecting these organizations with the rest of the Syrian civil society organizations.
They also discussed the latest issues related to the education sector, and the priorities and how to serve them in accordance with effective plans and programs that contribute to improving the living conditions of refugees, especially in the areas of healthcare and education.
