Vice President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Ruba Habboush, presented her work report and gave an overview on the activities carried out by both the Youth Office and the Women’s Office in the past two months before the SOC’s General Assembly at its 65th meeting.
Habboush spoke about the activities she carried out to strengthen interaction with young people and develop their skills, in addition to the activities carried out by the Syrian Women’s Authority.
Habboush pointed out that the recent weeks were distinguished by the work of the Syrian Women’s Authority which concluded the Diploma in Political Qualification, which came as part of the Political Empowerment of Syrian Women project, with the aim of activating the role of women and increasing the political awareness of Syrian women residing in Türkiye and Syria.
Habboush stressed the importance of supporting youth and women’s groups, and reaching out to student and youth groups and associations in the liberated areas and host countries. She also stressed that the Syrian Women’s Authority project began with great ambitions and steady steps to help Syrian women, pave the way for them, and overcome obstacles to politically empower them.
Habboush pointed out that Syrian women are a major partner in building the future of Syria, and that there will be no democracy without the presence of women in the first ranks and in all political, economic, social and cultural fields.
