The Women’s Office within the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) organized a dialogue session titled “Idlib and Gaza, Sisters in Pain” at the SOC’s office in Azaz in rural Aleppo.
The event drew the participation of numerous women, civil society activists, and female students from Free Aleppo University in the liberated regions.
During the session, the attendees delved into the brutal attack recently launched by militias associated with the Assad regime on the liberated areas. This assault unfolded in parallel with the brutal onslaught by the Israeli occupation against civilians residing in Gaza City.
Participants highlighted the striking resemblance between the strategies employed by the Assad regime and the Israeli occupation when it comes to perpetrating crimes against civilians. These strategies aim to coerce individuals into surrendering their legitimate rights and relinquishing their pursuit of freedom.
The attendees also underscored that this parallel revealed the falsehoods that the Assad regime has perpetuated for decades in its claims of resistance. They emphasized that both the Assad regime and the Israeli occupation are two sides of the same coin, jointly involved in acts of violence and crimes against humanity.
