The Syrian Coalition lauds Swaidaa youths’ siding with their fellow Syrians and resisting the Assad regime’s attempts to recruit them into its militia.
The Syrian Coalition stresses that the calls made by national and youth forces in the villages of Salkhad, Al-Qurayya, Arman, Al-Jeneina, and Al-Gharia to refuse and resist military conscription reflect the growing national sentiment in all Syrian provinces. These calls represent rejection of Assad’s attempts to drag Syria into more violence and destruction.
Moreover, the Syrian Coalition stated that the attitude of the residents of Swaidaa, Jabal al-Arab foils the plans of the Assad regime and the Hezbollah militia who seek to ignite sedition and sow division among Syrians.
