Syrian activists have launched a campaign titled “No to Normalization with the Criminal Assad” to reject the normalization of some Arab countries with the Assad regime. They emphasized the need to continue the revolution until the regime is overthrown, and its clique held accountable. The campaign, which began a few days ago, is in preparation for mass demonstrations planned on Sunday, April 23 in liberated Syrian regions and a number of European countries.
The activists have urged the Syrian people to take to the streets in the liberated areas and the diaspora to reject the recent Arab efforts for normalization with Assad and returning it to the Arab League. They have highlighted the atrocities committed by the Assad regime against millions of Syrians and called for his accountability.
The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) has also demanded that Arab countries and the international community do not normalize relations with the Assad regime. Instead, they should work towards holding the regime accountable and achieving the political transition stipulated in international resolutions.
The SOC has called on brothers and friends to hold the Assad regime responsible for its crimes and support the political transition in Syria. It has reiterated its commitment to the goals and principles of the revolution and its determination to work with all available means to achieve its ultimate goal of building a free Syria.
