Abdul Hakim Bashar, said that the US strategy toward Syria is based on managing the conflict rather than helping solve it. “The insistence of the US on pursuing the current strategy will not help resolve the sectarian conflict in the region, but will indulge it in drawn-out instability and turmoil which will create more crises, the worst of which is the outflow of refugees to Europe which will be faced with security and economic problems,” Bashar said. He pointed out that the Syrian people are the first and foremost victim of the current US strategy. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
