The Syrian Coalition’s political committee met with a delegation from the leadership of the Kurdish National Council on Monday to discuss de Mistura’s plan and raise awareness of the suffering of the Syrian people as a result of the Assad regime’s ongoing war.
The conferees agreed to lay out a unified position of de Mistura’s plan and also discussed the interim policy document approved by the Kurdish National Council in its last conference, which agrees mostly with the document of basic principles for a political settlement approved by the Syrian Coalition.
The meeting comes as a follow-up to a series of meetings held by the two sides to promote coordination and to raise awareness of the Kurdish issue as part of the Syrian national cause. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
