The Syrian Coalition condemned the “appalling massacre committed by Assad’s forces and Hezbollah’s terrorist militia against civilians in the village of Wadi al-Mawla in rural Homs on Friday, when least 27 people were killed, most of whom are descended from one family and most of them women and children.” A press statement by the National Coalition blames the international community and states a large part of the responsibility for this massacre is “due to the ongoing silence on the policy of murder pursued by the regime against civilians.” The Syrian Coalition called on the Free Syrian Army to “protect civilians within all villages isolated from the outside world after the Assad regime has been allowed to surround them with extremist-minded gangs” that commit the worst massacres against the people demanding the fall of the regime.
