The Syrian Coalition calls on rebel factions in Latakia province to mobilize forces and relieve rebel fighters in Turkmen Mount and rural Latakia which are coming under attack by regime forces supported by air cover from the Russian air force.
The Syrian Coalition warns that the situation on the ground may deteriorate in favor of regime forces and the sectarian militias if brotherly and friendly countries fail to support Syrian rebels and coordination with them more effectively. Syrian rebels are the side committed to achieving the rights of the Syrian people and realizing their aspirations.
It calls upon the international community to take the necessary steps to stop the Iranian-Russian aggression on the Syrian people and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) as well as to force Moscow and Tehran to end their invasion of Syria and completely withdraw their forces. Rural Latakia, together with the vast majority of the areas targeted by Russian air force, are completely void of any ISIS elements.
The Syrian Coalition urges neighboring countries to facilitate the passage of Syrians fleeing the Assad regime’s crimes to safe areas. The brutal Russian aerial attacks have not spared the internally displaced people’s camps near the border with Turkey, duplicating their suffering. The tragic humanitarian conditions they live in are expected to worsen with the onset of winter and the growing need for tents, means of heating, food and medicine. (Syrian Source: Coalition)
