The Syrian Coalition condemns ISIS’s repeated attacks on villages and towns south of the Khabur River in the Al-Hasakah province, including the Assyrian villages. ISIS militants have reportedly executed and kidnapped a murder of civilians in these towns.
Spokesman for the Syrian Coalition Salim al-Meslet stresses that “we strongly condemn all attacks against civilians, especially those targeting the diversity of the Syrian people. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all the abductees and warn against harming them. We also call on the UN Security Council and the international community to assume their responsibilities regarding these crimes and violations committed by ISIS and the Assad regime against civilians.”
Meslet points out that the barbarity and criminality of the Assad regime and ISIS have affected all components of the Syrian people, noting that the Syrian Coalition closely follows the developments in the Al-Hasakah province and will spare no effort to help release the abductees.
