Following the release of a video purportedly showing the beheading of Japanese journalist, Kenji Goto, by the terrorist group ISIS, President of the Syrian Coalition said: “Today, ISIS adds to its litany of horrible abuses the crime of taking the life of a brave and dedicated journalist, who in spite of all the risks, made an arduous journey to Syria to secure the release of his fellow citizen, Haruna Yukawa. Our hearts go out to the family of Kenji Goto, his friends and loved ones.” Khoja also said that “ISIS thugs proved once again that they speak one language, and that is the language of violence. We stand with the Japanese people and government at this difficult time. The fight against extremists, whose crimes have spread across the region, will not abate. We will continue to do whatever possible to rid the world of the evil of ISIS and other faceless terrorists.” Khoja points out that the international anti-ISIS air trikes have so far proved they are unable to curb or stop the expansion of this extremist group, stressing that the Free Syrian Army have proved since early 2014 its effectiveness in defeating ISIS as the FSA expelled ISIS militants from much of Aleppo province.” He concluded his remarks calling on the friends of the Syrian people to “support our project aimed at institutionalizing the FSA and establishing the Syrian National Army, as this the sole glimmer of hope to defeat the Assad regime and to eliminate terrorism rampant in the region.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
