Badr Jamous, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, strongly condemns the regime’s targeting of Kasab with artillery shells, causing damage to an Armenian Church inside the town. The shelling of the town came after opposition fighters captured it along with the last border crossing with Turkey, local activists said. Jamous declared that regime forces hold “full responsibility for the targeting of holy sites, not only in Kasab, but also all across Syria, which comes in the context of its policy of systematic targeting of civilians and holy sites in retaliation for the rebel victories on the ground.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
