Salim al-Meslet, spokesman for the Syrian Coalition, warns of the risks of the international anti-ISIS coalition’s continued ignoring of the terrorism of the Assad regime as this would undermine the Syrian people’s confidence in the goals of this coalition.” His statement followed a report released by the Syrian Network for Human Rights which said that the Assad regime had committed at least 14 massacre in besieged East Ghouta in September and October that claimed the lives of 274 civilians, including 71 children and 40 women, in addition to leaving 1,150 civilians injured. The Networks said it had received many distress calls from medical centers operating in East Ghouta after they ran out of medical supplies. Most of the massacres resulted from air raids carried out by Assad’s warplanes that fired at least 82 missiles and barrel bombs on the residential areas, destroying 33 buildings besides causing damage to 41 others. The air raids also targeted three popular markets, two schools, a mosque, 35 cars, and two ambulances. (Source: Syrian Network for Human Right)
