The Syrian Coalition is holding a series of meetings to discuss amendments to its bylaws “to reach a coherent and solid constitution that governs the regulation of the Coalition. The discussion of the amendments will be done outside the General Assembly, which will eventually review the outcome of the discussions to make the final decisions.” The meetings will also discuss the relationship between the interim government and the Syrian Coalition to avoid the overlapping of the functions of each body that has surfaced recently. Therefore, it is vital to accurately determine the legal and functional characterization of each one. It will be emphasized that the Ministry of Defense Foreign Affairs and do not follow the structure of the interim government, but is a separate body and directly linked to the Syrian Coalition only, which is in turn the only political body that incorporates includes all the political spectra at this stage.
