Syrian Coalition Discusses the Situation of Syrian Refugees With ECHO

A delegation from the Syrian Coalition, headed by Hadi Al-Bahra, met with the Director General of the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO) Mr. Claus Sorensen. The meeting discussed the critical situation of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, particularly in Arsal, and the conditions of Syrian refugees detained Macedonia and the need for taking urgent measures to release them. The Syrian Coalition’s delegation called upon the EU countries to fulfill their commitments and towards Syrian refugees and displaced and to increase cross-border humanitarian aid. Bahra called earlier on Russia to work with the Lebanese Government to put an end to the increasing violations against Syrian refugees in Lebanon in order to prevent an outbreak of violence. Moreover, it stresses the Syrian Coalition’s commitment to the safety and security of Lebanon and the Lebanese people,” during a meeting with Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister.
