The Syrian National Coalition reaffirmed its total support for the demands of the people of the town of Manbij. It stressed that the only option should be to liberate the town from terrorist organizations; ensure that it is spared the terror of the Assad regime forces; and do everything necessary to facilitate the return of its people to their homes.
In a press release issued on Monday, the Coalition said that the people of Manbij – including Arabs, Circassians, Kurds, and Turkomen – have received tens of thousands of their fellow Syrians fleeing the oppression of the regime and its allied terrorist organizations over the past several years.
The Coalition said that the Syrian Interim Government, with all its institutions, stands ready to fulfill its duty to provide security and stability to the town and facilitate the return of its people.
The Coalition pointed out that meeting these demands will foil attempts to hand the town over to the regime forces as such a move will force the remaining residents to be displaced once again. (Source: Syrian National Coalition’s Media Department)
