Adnan Rahmoun, member of the Syrian Coalition and representative of the local councils for the province of Idlib, hails the positive step taken by rebel factions who called for forming a governing council in the recently liberated city of Idlib. He also praises the high level of responsibility and caution shown by rebel fighters as they entered the city.
Rahmoun calls on local councils and the departments of health and education to take over state institutions and to preserve them in order to provide services to civilians.
He points out the huge sacrifices made by the people of Idlib to liberate their city necessitates that everyone needs to make Idlib the first example of a truly liberated province through cooperation between rebel fighters and civilians.
The Syrian Coalition said that the liberation of Idlib represents an important victory on the road to liberate all of Syrian soil in a statement released yesterday. “The liberation of Idlib requires the provision of tangible and decisive protection as the regime attacks with fighter jets, helicopters, missiles. We call for the withdrawal of all kinds of legal recognition of the Assad regime to pave the way for full political transition and then rebuilding a civil state where the aspirations of all its citizens are achieved.”
The Syrian Coalition renews confidence in forces of the revolution that defend civilians, abide by principles of the revolution and respect the international norms and conventions, stressing its commitments to the principles of the revolution to overthrow the Assad regime. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
