Nasr al-Hariri, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, held a series of meetings with civilian and military forces in a number of cities and towns near the Syrian-Turkish borders, most notably Gaziantep and Reyhanli. Hariri met with representatives of provincial councils, the FSA, the interim government, activists, labor union, representatives of FSA commanders and officers in Reyhanli and Apaydın Camp. Hariri listened to the needs and the problems faced by Syrian refugees in Antakya, and reviewed the steps taken to establish a community council in the area whose task is preserving the sympathy shown by the Turkish people towards the Syrian refugees. The Syrian Coalition also has been working on establishing councils for the Syrian communities who are living outside the refugee camps in Antakya, Reyhanli and Kirikhan to raise awareness of the communities’ rights and duties and to help them preserve the Turkish support for the cause of the Syrian people. The councils will also be tasked with providing administrative and legal services to the Syrian refuges and communicating with the Syrian Coalition and its institutions on one hand and with the Turkish government on the other.
