A Syrian Coalition delegation arrived in Amsterdam and met with Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch Parliament, and Deputy Foreign Minister For The Political And Relief Affairs And Empowerment Of Democracy.
The delegation held extensive meetings with Dutch officials to discuss the latest political developments, especially the plan put forward by the international envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura and the Syrian refugee issue caused by the Assad regime’s five-year war on the Syrian people.
The delegation thanked the Dutch government and the Dutch people for their support for the Syrian people and called for stepping up this support to give a glimmer of hope for the Syrian people who struggle to achieve their demands for freedom and dignity.
The delegation included Vice-President Hisham Marwa, Secretary General Mohammed Yahya Maktabi and Deputy Minister of Education in the Syrian Interim government Fawaz Al-Awad. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
