The Syrian Coalition has received an official invitation from Saudi Arabia to attend an upcoming conference in Riyadh to bring the Syrian opposition together in order to lay out a common document on Syria’s future based on the Geneva Communique of 2012.
Member of the political committee and the Coalition’s representative to the EU Muwafaq Nairabiya welcomed the Riyadh conference, adding that the Syrian Coalition will work to unify the political, military and civilian forces of the revolution and the Syrian opposition. Mr. Nairabiya stressed the importance of the conference in light of the latest political and military developments, most notably the Vienna meeting and the escalating Russian aggression on Syria.
Nairabiya highly commended the role Saudi Arabia plays to support the Syrian revolution which aims to rid Syria of the authoritarian Assad regime and achieve the Syrian people’s aspirations of freedom and dignity. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
