The Syrian Coalition’s media office mourned the death of young prominent media activist and photographer Majd Muadamani, who was killed on Friday by regime shelling on the town of Darayya west of Damascus.
The office extended the most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Majd, highly praising the courage and true heroism he had shown since the early days of the Syrian Revolution. Armed with his camera, Majd took up the task of documenting the crimes committed by the Assad regime and later by the Russian invaders against the Syrian people.
The Syrian Coalition’s media office called upon all organizations concerned with the rights of journalists, most particularly Reporters Without Borders, to shoulder their responsibilities towards the protection of Syrian journalists and media activists. It condemned the Assad regime’s deliberate and systematic targeting of journalists to conceal its crimes and to silence the voice of the Syrian people. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
