The Syrian National Coalition reaffirmed its commitment to fighting terrorism in all its forms and to working with its partners in Turkey and the international anti-ISIS coalition to defeat terrorist organizations and giving the lands and towns back to the Syrian people.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the Coalition said that for the past few months, it has contributed to the efforts to establish a safe zone in northern Syria and create the appropriate conditions for the voluntary return of displaced persons and refugees.
“We hoped these efforts would succeed in finding a solution that would ensure the defeat of the PYD militia and the transborder terror groups that turned this region into a hotbed of chaos, violence and terrorism,” the Coalition said.
The Coalition also reiterated its supports for the efforts of the Syrian National Army, the Ministry of Defense, and Chief of Staff. It stressed that the Syrian National Army is ready to combat terror in cooperation and joint action with the brothers in Turkey so as to safeguard the national interests of the Syrian people with all their Arab, Kurd, Turkoman, Assyrian and other components. It is also ready to prevent terrorist organizations from using Syrian territory to threaten the security and stability of Syria and neighboring countries.
The Coalition added that it has already informed the Syrian Interim Government, its ministries and directorates to prepare to work in the areas that will be liberated; spare no effort to elect local councils, provide the essential services, protect the security of our people, and ensure they are able to stay in their homes and towns.
“The Coalition calls on everyone to work with the Syrian National Army to isolate the terrorists and activate the work of institutions to serve all Syrian citizens.”
“The Coalition is communicating extensively with sisterly and friendly states to brief them about the latest developments. We reaffirm our support for the political and military efforts to remove the threat of terrorism from eastern Syria as we will continue to resist the tyrannical regime by all means.” (Source: Syrian National Coalition’s Media Department)
