Secretary-General of the Syrian Coalition Abdil Ilah Fahd thanked the Saudi king Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Muhammad Bin Nayef, and Deputy Crown Prince, Muhammed Bin Salman for the hospitality, effective management, and care provided by the kingdom to Hajj pilgrims in general and Syrian pilgrims in particular.
Fahd said that the Syrian Coalition’s Supreme Hajj Committee signed pilgrimage contracts for the upcoming hajj season with the Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia for all Syria’s quota of pilgrims this year. The Committee and Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj agreed on arrangements for the upcoming hajj season during a meeting held on Tuesday.
Participants in the meeting paid tribute to victims of the Assad regime and its allies as well as to the fallen heroes who have died in the Saudi-led Operation Decisive Storm against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias in Yemen.
Fahd, who is also head of the Supreme Hajj Committee, pointed to the need to facilitate the pilgrimage procedures for all Syrians who want to perform hajj through opening more offices where applications for hajj can be submitted.
Over 12,000 Syrians performed hajj in the 2016 hajj season. The Committee has been granted the exclusive right to receive and manage the applications for hajj. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Office)
