Head of the Syrian Turkoman Council, Wajeeh Juma, visited the office of the Syrian National Coalition in northern rural Aleppo and met with a number of the Coalition members and the Secretary-General of the Free Provincial Council of Aleppo Muhammad Jallou.
Participants in the meeting discussed the humanitarian situation in Idlib and the rest of the liberated areas as they stressed the need to work together to help the IDPs who fled their homes as a result of the brutal military campaign that the Assad regime has launched since late April.
Participants stressed that the Assad regime and its backers are committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Syria, especially in Idlib. They pointed out that these heinous crimes must not go unpunished.
Moreover, the meeting touched on the future of the liberated areas, the importance of empowering the Syrian Interim Government, and the developoment of projects to improve services, security and stability.
Participants stressed that the success of the Syrian Interim Government’s work will reflect positively on civilians, alleviate the suffering of the IDPs, and produce a model for civil administration contrary to the corrupt, tyrannical Assad regime, which will in turn help achieve a genuine political transition in Syria.
