Syrian Coalition: The Victims Killed by the YPG near Kobane are Civilians

The Syrian Coalition denies reports by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the four people who were killed at the hands of the Kurdish YPG militias near the town of Kobane are ISIS fighters. “We contacted relatives of the victims and they denied the information reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Sources close to the victims confirmed that they were all civilians and did not take up arms and did not participate in any hostilities. The victims are among the displaced people who fled the town of Kafr Zeita in rural Hama to a village located near Ayn al-Arab Kobane.” The Syrian Coalition offers its sincere condolences to the families of the four victims, stressing that it condemns all violations against civilians regardless of the side responsible for them.
