Nasr al-Hariri, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, said that “the Syrian Coalition will participate in the 144th session of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers scheduled for today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, headed by Mauritania.” Hadi Al Bahra, president of the Syrian Coalition, will deliver a speech during the ministerial meeting of the Arab League. A delegation from the Syrian Coalition met with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil Al-Arabi, at the headquarters of the Arab League. Hariri told reporters that the meeting discussed the latest political and field developments in Syria, the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2171, and the results of the NATO meeting held in Great Britain. “We explained to the Secretary General of the Arab League during the meeting that the fight against terrorism cannot be done piecemeal, and demanded that the UN resolution include countering the terror practiced by the Assad regime which is the source of terrorism in the region. We also called on the Arab League to go beyond political recognition of the Syrian Coalition and grant it full legal recognition as the representative of the Syrian people. We put forth our demands clearly and concisely, namely helping the Syrian people get rid of suffering caused by the tyrant Assad and the pillars of his regime, and the handover of power to a transitional governing body in accordance with Geneva I Communique of June 30 2012.” The delegation of the Syrian Coalition also included Haitham al-Maleh, head of the Legal Committee, and Bassam Al Malek, Qasim al-Khatib, Adil Al Halwani and Khalil Al Rahman.
