In speech directed to the Syrian people of on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Nasr al-Hariri, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, said that “those who have taken on advocating the goals of the Syrian revolution and the rights of the Syrian people in the political field over the past three years bear great responsibilities, risks and challenges. Serving the goals of the revolution requires continuous and diligent work, therefore with every sunrise we have to prepare ourselves to make every possible effort to achieve the goals and the aspirations of the Syrian people. The Syrian people are now facing enormous challenges, and the only way to overcome them is through strengthening trust, opening channels of continuous communication between all the components of the revolution, and working to devise creative solutions through continuous consultation, openness to criticism and constant reevaluation of previous efforts. The diverse opinions and points of views should be utilized to further improve performance and consequently to ensure the transition to democratic civilian rule.” Al Hariri points out that “starting from next month the Syrian Coalition will outline the future objectives, a task that every Syrian has to effectively participate in so that we come out with plans and projects that every Syrian benefits from.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
